Dr. Michael Chun
Retired President and Headmaster of Kamehameha Schools - Kapalama (a college preparatory school serving children of Hawaiian ancestry) from 2001 - 2012 and President, Kamehameha Schools from 1988 - 2001. Prior to his appointment at Kamehameha Schools, Dr. Chun was Vice President of Park Engineering, a Honolulu engineering consulting firm. He also served as Chief Engineer of the City and County of Honolulu and taught at the University of Hawai'i where he directed graduate instruction and research in environmental engineering. Dr. Chun serves on the boards of Bank of Hawai'i Corporation, Matson, Incorporated, Hawai'i Pacific University, Hawai'i Medical Services Association, YMCA of Honolulu, Bishop Museum. Hawai'i Preparatory Academy, Partners in Development and Polynesian Voyaging Society. Dr. Chun received his bachelors of science degree in civil engineering and his Ph.D. in environmental engineering from the University of Kansas, and his M.S. in civil engineering from the University of Hawai'i.
Alt Kagesa
Alt has over 15 years of experience providing training and meeting facilitation to various organizations across the state (i.e., Kauai Business Chamber of Commerce, Attorney General's Office, Hawaii Housing Authority, and Kamehameha Schools, etc.). His expertise is in group facilitation, general staff training, leadership development, and performance management.
Alt is a certified Achieve Global trainer, received his Masters in Social Work from the University of Hawaii. He presently oversees the performance management and staff development functions at Kamehameha Schools.
Born and raised on the island of Oahu. Alt learned the value education and diversity from his mother's side of the family who comes from a small plantation town on the Big Island; and hard work and business from his father's side of the family who ran a small business for two generations on Oahu. Married and the proud father of three daughters, Alt enjoys reading and ocean activities during his free time.
